TwitchCon
Creative Strategy, Creative Direction, Event Experience, Copywriting
Twitch has a community like none other, born from years of online camaraderie around shared interests. That community is what makes Twitch incredible, but despite Twitch’s groundbreaking live chat and video, online communities have limitations. We wanted to find a way to deepen connections, supercharge community growth, and strengthen brand affinity.
The idea: bring all the things that make Twitch, Twitch, together in one place, IRL. The fans, the creators, the games, the memes, the cosplay, the competitions, all crammed into one wild weekend.
For eight years, I co-led the creative development of the yearly (and eventually twice-yearly) TwitchCon as creative director and copywriter. Each year we developed a distinct creative strategy to informed show content, visual design, marketing, and the big keynote presentations. And every year things got bigger, more elaborate, more fun, and we welcomed more and more creators and fans to the show. Below you can see a selection of how some of my favorite TwitchCons were brought to life.
